My Story
Meet Lion King, a courageous and noble horse with an inspiring story. Born in 2003 and bred in Swaziland for A-grade show jumping, Lion King’s dreams of competing at the highest level were cut short by an injury. Instead of receiving the care he needed, he was slated for euthanasia. Thankfully, we were contacted just in time, and Lion King was rescued before it was too late.
Since joining Ashers Farm Sanctuary, Lion King has found a place of peace and love. Despite his past, he is a gentle and brave soul who now enjoys the freedom to just be a horse, without the pressure of competition.
